Kuda Huraa, Maldives: Event organisers at the 2015 Four Seasons Maldives Surfing Champions Trophy have been greeted this morning by clean 1.5 to 2 metre waves at Sultans Point and have decided conditions look optimal to get competition underway at the world's ‘most luxurious surfing event.’

Day one of the competition will see competitors revert to the seventies era, taking to the water on single fin boards. This will no doubt come as a challenge for our competitors but will be sure to bring out style and flow that we sometimes miss in some of the more modern facets of surfing.
The round will commence with two three-person heats. First and second place of each heat will move through to a two-person semi-final. Heat winners will then progress to the final to accumulate maximum points in the three division format.
