The Four Seasons Resorts Maldives Surfing Champions Trophy remains on hold for a third consecutive day
Kuda Huraa, Maldives, Friday, August 30th: The Four Seasons Resorts Maldives Surfing Champions Trophy remains on hold for a third consecutive day.
Organisers opted to call another lay-day due to strong winds and small wave conditions at Sultans Point.
With an increase in swell and lighter wind conditions predicted by tomorrow, the Twin Fin division is expected to commence on Saturday morning followed by the Thruster Division on Sunday before the all-important Grand Final.
Former three-time ASP world surfing champion Tom Curren won the opening Single Fin Division on Tuesday.
Day three of the Four Seasons Maldives Surfing Champions Trophy followed a similar storyline to the previous rounds of competition as Joel Parkinson once again topped Adriano de Souza in their third straight final of the week.
